19th century woven purse, cedar bark, very fine weaving of cedar bark, woven on diagonal, with accompanying note: "Purse for woman to carry ornaments or money shells. Fell out of grave box which had fallen from tree and been smashed, north end of Vancouver Island -- close to Nimpkish River"
